Musical youth theatre in Huntingdon
It was really great to see a review of our show, Grease, by Councillor Ann Blackwell in the September issue of Huntingdon Town council’s magazine.
This just goes to show that all of the effort and commitment put in by the cast and crew is recognised within the community. A huge well done to everyone.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended the Oliver Workshops and I hope we will see all of you again when rehearsals start in September. For those of you who have decided to audition for a Principal role, auditions will be on Sunday 1st September at the Club House on the Alconbury Weald Enterprise Campus from 10am – 5pm with possible call-backs at the same venue on Monday evening. The address is: The Club, The Boulevard, Enterprise Campus, Alconbury Weald, Huntingdon, Cambs PE28 4WX.
To receive full information on the characters, libretto and music required, please contact us and we will email this to you. It is not a requirement to have attended the workshops prior to auditioning for a Principal Role, so please let us know if you are interested.
We are expecting a large number of auditionees and therefore the following guidelines apply.
• Please audition for the one character you really would like. It may well be that we feel that you could be suitable for a different role and we will chat that through with you on the day.
• You must learn the song and the libretto as scripts WILL NOT be allowed in the audition.
• Please advise us as soon as possible as to the character you are auditioning for so that we can email the script to you.
• You will need to be available for as much of the day as possible, so please bring something to eat and drink.
The key to a good audition is preparation and planning as we are expecting you to deliver the ‘whole package’.

Over 70 budding performers now ‘consider themselves one of us’ after attending our 2 Oliver Workshops held in June 2019. We were absolutely delighted to welcome over 30 new cast members to the group and once again were astounded at the level of talent. With a broad age range of 11-25, it was brilliant to see the whole cast work together on demanding vocals and dance routines and at the end of each session the results were amazing and there was a real buzz in the auditorium.
If you would still like to be part of the show, but couldn’t make the workshops, we would still love to see you and rehearsals for the full cast start on Tuesday 3 September 2019 at The Club, The Boulevard, Enterprise Campus, Alconbury Weald, Huntingdon, Cambs PE28 4WX. (Show dates 8-11 April 2020)
